We're Back!...

We made it back from Tupelo and thankfully, Gustav only did minor damage for us. Just lots of tree debris and a shifted patio cover. Hopefully, things will get back to normal for everyone next week.

Spring Cleaning is here!

I can feel spring in the air and I've been getting the fever! It's a little early, but the home and garden centers have the best-looking plants right now and I don't think I'll be able to resist much longer.

So far, I've only started inside. I've packed up the really heavy sweaters, fleece and jackets and bulky stuff. Converted all closets to wood hangers and thrown out the mismatched plastic ones (I was suprised how big of a difference this made in looking organized). I've also gone through and put aside a "garage sale" pile with things that haven't been used or things that need to go.

Now, must get self shorts and bathing suit ready........

It's a new year and Mardi Gras is almost here!

We're just getting over the holidays and Mardi Gras is sneaking up on us here in New Orleans! It's the first week of February this year so parades will be getting into full-swing in the next couple of weeks (we had one last weekend).
