Well, it's been HOT here! I usually get out early in the morning to tend to the garden, but by 9:00 it's too hot and humid to feel like doing anything. I am all for low maintenance plants! I find that the Indian Hawthornes just need a trimming and shape up about 2 times a year and they are really low maintenance. The hostas in the shade and hibiscus are also winners for not needing a lot of attention. Finding a time cool enough to cut the grass is another matter though! I've been waiting until late in the evening just before dark.

We made it back from Tupelo and thankfully, Gustav only did minor damage for us. Just lots of tree debris and a shifted patio cover. Hopefully, things will get back to normal for everyone next week.
